SECED 2023

The Society for Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics (SECED) presents the SECED 2023 Conference, centered around the theme “Earthquake Engineering and Dynamics for a Sustainable Future.” This highly anticipated two-day event is scheduled to take place on 14-15 September 2023 at the historic Churchill College, Cambridge.

The SECED 2023 Conference will feature a comprehensive program, encompassing a wide array of topics related to earthquake engineering and dynamics. Participants can expect insightful discussions on seismic hazards and engineering seismology, induced seismicity, geotechnical earthquake engineering, vibrations, blast and impact loading, seismic assessment, and retrofitting of engineered and non-engineered structures.

Furthermore, the conference will showcase the latest innovations in seismic analysis and design, seismic considerations for nuclear facilities, risk and catastrophe modelling, earthquake reconnaissance, and the social impacts and community recovery in the aftermath of seismic events.
