Reliable quantification of climatic, hydrological and atmospheric stressors.
Development of long-term data platforms and reliable data points exploring, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of chosen solutions within the inland waterway ecosystem.
Development of advanced Remote-Sensing (RS) algorithms, multi-hazard modelling and AI tools for accurate IWW mapping and multi-hazard maps.
Design of a Common Operational Picture (COP) including an enhanced visualisation interface and an Incident Management System (IMS).

The River Administration of the Lower Danube functions as an autonomous state control and is the waterways authority for the Romanian Danube sector, from the river km 1,075 to the river mouth in the Black Sea, on Sulina branch, in Sulina roadstead, on the navigable arms Borcea, Bala, Macin, Valciu, Caleia, on Chilia branch, with its secondary arms, on Sfantu Gheorghe channel, with the rectifications channels and on the secondary arms of the Sulina Channel, named the Old Danube.
The main task of the Autonomous State Control “River Administration of the Lower Danube” is the assurance of navigation conditions on Danube by means of hydrological and hydrographical survey coast and floating marking, dredging works, providing up-to-date and accurate navigation data, piloting on the maritime Danube sector between Sulina roadstead and Braila and in the Danube maritime ports, special transport on the river and maritime Danube, internal and international tugging etc.
The Department of Transport Technology and Economics specializes in the complex task of providing education, carrying out research and fulfilling application-oriented tasks related to the establishment and operation of (passenger and freight) transport systems, both from a global transport perspective, just as well as focusing on the individual transport modes. These assignments comprise the basic processes, the information management and economic questions too.
The competencies of the Department extend to the strategic and operative planning, technology design, operation and management, financial organization, technological and economic evaluation and legal control of transport networks and passenger and freight transport processes also concerning the aspects of transport safety and sustainability.

RISA Sicherheitsanalysen GmbH (RISA Safety Analysis Ltd) is an SME founded in 1990 from a research group at the Technical University of Berlin. Since then the initial field of activities has expanded from probabilistic safety, risk and reliability analysis, mainly for nuclear energy plants, to complex information system applications and platforms for decision analysis/support, optimisation and data analysis, including Big Data and IoT, for various other industries and engineering offices (including the railway, automotive and aviation transportation industries), as well as government agencies (including the German Ministry of the Environment).
RISA offers its clients full service including complete system analysis with the necessary software, special software adaptation, mathematical and statistical methods development and supply and installation of the accompanying hardware and software.

RSOE is committed to give rise to the information society therefore it does its best to make the technological innovations widespread public. It safeguards and fears for the natural and built environment, and in order to protect it RSOE uses the most modern technologies, the help of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and the geographic information system (GIS), especially in the field of inland navigation and disaster management. The Association also through its proposals and projects supports the European integration and cohesion, in terms of the principles of regionality, partnership and transparency. RSOE develops and keeps a wide spectrum of European and international relations, presenting the Hungarian innovation.
The National Association of Radio Distress-Signalling and Infocommunications was established in 1982. Currently, as a prominently public benefit organization, the Association in cooperation particularly with governmental administrations or rather with organizations which the latter have control over implement those activities, with that according to the relating regulations and agreements it constantly supports the work of the governmental sphere. Besides this the Association pays accentuated attention to the tasks of Hungary steamed from its EU membership, therefore RSOE with its international partners constantly takes part in different national and other projects co-financed by the EU.
Main professional areas of the Association’s is to operate and develop river information services and port management system in Hungary (www.pannonris.hu). By virtue of the contract signed with the ministry responsible for transport, RIS in Hungary is provided by RSOE. Operation and development of information and emergency systems. To ensure the order and safety on national waters RSOE operates different information and emergency systems on the Danube, Tisza rivers and Lake Balaton.
RSOE through its proposals and projects supports the European integration and cohesion, therefore also in the field of disaster managements and river information services writes tender applications with its partners for support from the European Union, in order to study, implement and test new professional ideas. On top of thar the Hungarian National Association of Radio Distress-Signalling and Infocommunications (RSOE) operates the Emergency and Disaster Information Service (EDIS) with the objective to monitor, document and analyze all kind of emergency or disaster events worldwide. We process data of several organizations, authorities and trusted media to obtain reliable information using the speed and the data spectrum of the internet. Our services include the displaying of gathered information on various user interfaces and the notification of customers on selected events
Service Public de Wallonie Mobilité et Infrastructures
The Service Public de Wallonie Mobilité et Infrastructures (SPW MI) is notably in charge of the development and exploitation of the Walloon waterways network in Belgium. This network spreads from Scheldt River to Meuse River, through a dense mesh of canal. It covers 461 kms of waterways, of which 200 kms are accessible to CEMT Class Va vessels and larger. SPW MI operates 40 navigation dams along this network, together with 83 locks and 6 shiplifts. More than 35 million tons of goods are transported each year on these waterways.
