PLOTO joins ALICE partnership

PLOTO is delighted to announce its new collaboration with the ALICE Liaison Programme, strengthening their partnership and driving the dissemination and market uptake of PLOTO’s technological innovations.

The European Technology Platform-ALICE has a clear mission to develop a comprehensive industry-led strategy for research, innovation, and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management in Europe. ALICE actively supports logistics innovations and promotes collaboration between logistics actors and its members, all while driving the transition towards zero emissions transport and logistics operations. ALICE’s roadmap is based on the principles of the Physical Internet, emphasising interconnectivity and interoperability of transport processes and equipment. The newly established liaison agreement with ALICE will maximise the project’s potential by facilitating the exchange of expertise and raising external awareness of PLOTO’s innovative solutions.

The liaison agreement between PLOTO and ALICE aligns perfectly with their shared vision of integrated logistic networks. Given ALICE’s involvement in other EU-funded initiatives like CRISTAL and ReNEW, incorporating the PLOTO project into their program is a natural fit. The synergy between PLOTO, ReNEW, and CRISTAL presents a valuable opportunity for enhanced outcomes and cross-fertilisation, ultimately generating a greater impact for the benefit of the projects and the inland waterways transport sector.
