PLOTO partner, Satways Ltd, is co-organising the upcoming “Research and Innovation Symposium for European Security and Defence” (RISE-SD) in Rhodes, Greece on 29-31 May.
Satways, with CERTH, a research organisation, and the Bulgarian Defence Institute have teamed together to promote the continuance of RISE-SD as an EU research and innovation event in civil defence and protection. PLOTO project will be presented along with approximately 20 R&D projects concerning disaster and crisis management, critical infrastructure protection, border security and defence research.
More than 200 participants from around the EU are expected to join the event to exchange ideas, present results and participate in live demos of technological solutions. High-ranking EU officials, governmental representatives, academics, businesspeople, practitioners, and interested parties in European security and defence will attend. Additionally, according to the organizational plan, peer-reviewed papers pertaining to the presentations that will be delivered during the RISE-SD 2023 sessions will be published in the Springer Book Series “Security Informatics and Law Enforcement.” Additionally, live, outdoor demonstrations of pertinent projects and their results and the display of technology solutions are planned.
